Terrace for events in Barcelona for hire with the indoor plan B included
Open air with the main room right beside it. The only event terrace that comes with a fallback built in.
What sets it apart
A terrace that does not depend on the weather
Hiring a terrace in Barcelona has a well-known problem: the forecast. A rooftop on its own is wonderful right up until rain threatens and you have 48 hours to decide whether to move the event, hire a marquee or tell a hundred people the address has changed.
Here that problem does not exist. The terrace is part of the same building as the room and the lobby, so the plan B is ten metres away. If the day is good, the event happens outside. If not, it moves indoors without changing venue, without warning anyone and without the cost of a marquee.
That turns the terrace into a space you can commit to when planning, rather than a bet.
Capacity
Capacity by layout
Standing holds considerably more people than seated at tables. These are the usual terrace formats.
| Layout | Capacity | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| Standing cocktail | Ask us → | Aperitif, welcome drink, afterwork |
| Banquet | Ask us → | Lunch or dinner in the open air |
| Networking | Ask us → | Congress break, informal gathering |
| Support area | Ask us → | Breathing space during an indoor event |
Capacity depends on the exact layout. Tell us your format and we will confirm the precise figure for the aforo-table.
Typical uses
When it makes most sense
- Welcome drink — greet outside, move inside
- Aperitif — before a meal or a formal moment
- Open-air lunch or dinner — for much of the year
- Afterwork — short early-evening format
- Congress break — networking 100 m from the hall
- Breathing space — during an event in the main room
The most frequent use is not as a standalone space but chained: reception on the terrace, the main act in the room and back outside for drinks. Three settings, one move.
Before you book
Worth settling first
- Is there a covered alternative? The first question to ask about any terrace. If the answer involves a marquee or a change of venue, add it to the budget and to the risk.
- How late can you stay outside? Open-air spaces have shorter hours than indoor ones. Worth knowing before you design the running order.
- Standing or seated? On a terrace the capacity gap between a cocktail and a banquet is enormous.
- Is there a bar outside? Without one, service slows down and guests notice.
- Can it combine with indoors? Chaining spaces gives you far more than booking one, and usually costs less than two venues.
Frequently asked questions about the terrace
Can the terrace be hired separately?
Yes. It is an independent space and can be booked on its own without opening the main room. It works well for groups that do not need a large indoor space.
What happens if it rains?
How late can it be used?
Terrace hours are shorter than the indoor room, because it is an open-air space. The usual approach is to use it for the first part of the evening and continue inside. We confirm the exact hours for your date.
Is there a bar on the terrace?
Bar service can be set up on the terrace. Being adjacent to the rest of the venue, it is covered without duplicating infrastructure.
Does it work for a company lunch?
Yes. An open-air lunch or dinner in Barcelona is one of the formats that works best for much of the year, and it can be combined with the room for whatever follows.
Can it be used during a congress at Fira?
It is one of its most logical uses: at 100 metres from the exhibition centre, it works as an open-air break and networking area two minutes from the hall.
