The 2027 change
The show is moving, and this time it lands next door
Until 2025 Automobile Barcelona was held at Montjuïc. In 2027 it moves to the Gran Via venue, following the transformation works at the historic site for the centenary of the 1929 Exposition.
For anyone organising a fringe event, that redraws the map. Until now, hosting something near the show meant looking for space around Montjuïc and Plaça Espanya. In 2027 the show sits 100 metres from this venue.
And there is a second difference from every other Fira congress: duration. A show with nine public days plus two preview days for press and trade is nothing like a four-day congress. It makes sense to treat the space as a base across the week rather than for one isolated night.

400 m² of column-free floor with stage, lighting and load-in access. Off the stand and away from the noise of the show.

Dealers and distributors gathered off site, with room to talk and a bar if the format calls for one.

The next edition of Automobile Barcelona runs 10–18 de abril de 2027 at Fira Gran Via, with preview days on 8 and 9 April.
Being the first edition at the new site, much of the industry is still planning its week around the old map. This is a year to ask early.

Eleven days changes how you approach it
At a four-day congress the logical move is to book one night and make the most of it. With a show running nine public days plus two trade previews, that arithmetic stops working: spreading the effort makes more sense than concentrating it.
- The press days are a different event. On 8 and 9 April the halls are trade and media only. An event on those dates competes with far less noise than one in the middle of a public weekend.
- The weekend belongs to the general public. If your target is the dealer network or the press, those days are not yours no matter how many people are in the halls.
- A fixed base beats several venues. With the lobby booked across the week you have a meeting room, a gathering point and team downtime two minutes from the stand.
- Bringing in a vehicle is settled beforehand. The room is open plan with load-in access, but exact dimensions have to be checked case by case. Tell us what you want to bring in and we will assess it before committing.
